Flying from Cuba to the UK

Last year my girlfriend and I had been on holiday to Cuba. On our flight home, about 20 minutes away from Cuba, the captain announced that we were turning back because there was something wrong with the landing gear!
Needless to say I, and nearly everyone else I guess, was terrified. We all sat through twenty minutes of fear, expecting we might die when we landed. Now, as it happened, the landing gear was fine and it was just a faulty instrument light in the cockpit, but Hell was that a ride and a half.
So it's not a crash story as such, but we all thought it was going to be.
