I wasn't sure if I should tell this story. It's kind of off the wall and not sure if it fits the confines of the site, but then I thought, why not? It'll either get posted or it won't and there are so many sad stories that I thought mine would be a different approach.

The ocean is a place of love to me. I enjoy it immensely and with loving the ocean comes with it certain aspects that one can not ignore, chiefly the sports you can participate in be it from boating and sailing to water skiing to parasailing and diving. I love surfing. I love wave runners. All that sort of stuff but even I give way to one sport that captured all that I am: Scuba Diving.

When you strap on that tank and put on that mask and dive into that ocean it's a whole other world. It's like stepping out of the reality right to the surreal. It's exciting as much as it is beautiful. And wow, it is relaxing! Maybe too relaxing, I don't know.

I went out deep and got my gear on. Anchored my little boat and dove into that clear, blue water. I had a good 45 minutes to swim and bob and commune with the underworld of the fishes. Everything was going swimmingly (sorry, I couldn't resist the pun) until I happened to look up and saw some disturbances on the surface of the water in the form of bubbles and cut water. This can only mean one thing and that is another boat.

Staring upward I was curious as to what the deal was. This boat crashed into mine and pushed it forward with me attached to it! I see the anchor come up then the boat is moving with me along for the ride!

As a safety measure I tether myself to the boat so I can't get lost while in the water (trust me, it happens and it's best to be prepared) and when the thing started to move I was attached and thusly I guess I was underwater skiing or something. I had plenty of oxygen so I wasn't worried about that. I was struggling a bit, climbing upward towards the surface using my tether as a line to pull up.

I was getting close to the top and my head poked out from the water and I struggled upward further, reaching onto the boat rail and lugging my butt into the ship. I didn't care, at this point, who was in my boat! I was met by one guy; an old fellow with a lot of ink. He looked shocked to say the least.

Apparently I neglected to make a payment on my boat and honestly it was a true oversight. This gentleman was a repo man sent by the loan company to reclaim their property. He figured I went diving and this was a good time to take the boat and give me a lesson - no clue I tether myself!

He apologized a lot and let me have the boat to give me a chance to send a payment. I decided to not sue him and all was well.
